Kimberly Having Fun

Dear Family and friends,

I hope y'all are doing well. Can all my close family and friends remind me when y'all's birthdays are? I'm doing well. I still love it out here. I had my second companion exchange this week. That's when you switch companions with a leader for 24 hours. Last month I had my first one and I want to Pittsboro. This time I staid in Chapel Hill and one of the Sister Training Leaders came to me and my companion want there. It a little harder staying in your area with a difforent companion beacuse you have to know what to do and where to go. It want well and we had fun wile we worked.

My sister training leaders are amazing. I love them. Here's a photo from Sisters Confrense a wile back. Going right to left there is me, My trainer, her trainer, and the sister she is training. My Mission family.

We love getting mail!

I had a great Christmas! Here is the tree I made with a hanger, paper, and tape.

I've seen the NC Temple but haven't been inside yet.

We went bowling before one of our friends from Durum was transferred.

Chapel Hill has a free bus! I hear they are thinking of changing that. I hope they don't becase it's great. We do drive but we try do other things as well so we find more people to talk to.

I hope this is not too much...Chapel Hill 1st and 2nd Sisters! One of them was Sister Anderson's Missionary Training Center Group and the other was my Missionary Training Center Companion.

My first exchange was last month with Sister Thorne.

This last week I had an exchange with Sister Barney.

Selfies

Dear Friends and family.

I'm sorry that I can only fit 3 photos in an email...Well Y'all can't say I didn't send much this week. I know that this is where I need to be right now. I miss all y'all. This work is hard but so worth it. I love the people here. We are focusing on finding more people to teach and straightening the ward. We dive, walk, bike, and ride the bus. We tract rain or shine. We get to use Facebook but can only talk to people who live in the area. I love the people. here. I am becoming known among the women for my great hugs. I have a great companion/trainer who is doing her best to help me adjust to missionary life, learn the rules and be a better missionary. I post uplifting messages on Facebook.

Winter in North Carolina

Dear Family and Friends,

I found out how to enter contacts and make a group on this email account. It took a bit of today's email time but it will make things a little faster in the futcher. I love y'all. I'm not sure who atchaly reads this but that's ok. My friend Shelby post these on a blog for me. So If you want to read it there too you can. www.sisterkimberlygalloway.blogspot.com .

I hope all y'all had a fabulous Christmas and New Years. I'm sorry if I ever repeat myself. It can be hard to remember what I've told y'all already. Today Sister Anderson and I went out to Lunch with a sweet couple from her last area. They were nice. I got free food and a happy companion so I'm happy about it. I love the area I'm serving in. I was not transferred so I'm here for the next transfer. A transfer is what we call a 6 week period of time. It is possible to be moved each transfer but not likely. I'm glad to still be here. I like the area and the people. My companion is still here as well so that's good. We get more time to get to know each other.

It doesn't snow much here at all. It does rain a lot though. And when it's really cold it all freezes and they close everything down and stay home. We don't because it's just a little ice but the schools and stuff close. It's only been that bad ones so far but we still have a few more months of winter here.

We tout the young woman again this last Sunday. It want really well. We tout about the Godhead. We have very sweet youth here. There aren't a lot of them but they are wonderful. The Ward I serve in is mostly young family's in college and a little of everyone else. There are so many children here! It's great but it's kind of funny.

Sincerely,
Sister Kimberly Galloway

Helping Each Other

Dear family and friends,

I'm sorry that I haven't been better at emailing. I hope y'all are doing well. We are doing well. I was super excited on Sunday because a lot of our less active members came to church. Our class room was full in Gospel Principles which is a first. I am happy most of the ward is back from their Christmas travels. My ward has mostly young college family's so a lot of them went home for the last few weeks. I am grateful for my mission already. I am learning so much every day. I have met so many incredible people that I absolutely love.

The Lord truly blesses us with love for his children, especially those we serve. Please pray for me to have a better memory, the gift of discernment and be able to speak with the tong of angles. I know the Lord has purposes in sending me here. There are people I feel a connection to and I know that we can learn and grow closer to God through that as we teach, read and discuss the gospel. The Lord has prepared the way for me and I will be fine. As I do my best I will find my brothers and sister whom the Lord has prepared. I know this to be true. I asked an Elder to give me a blessing after our Zone Training Meeting. It gave me a lot of comfort. There is a lot to adjust to when you go on a mission and a lot has happened here and back of in the short time I've been gone so far. When my Grandma Loveless past away, Alma 31:31 helped me a lot.

Sister Anderson is amazing! I am glad we are not being transferred this transfer. I am learning a lot from her and we are working on our communication skills together. We have companion inventor at lest ones a week where we talk openly about each other's straights and our feeling. It's hard but we are learning a lot about each other, becoming better at understanding each other and trusting each other. It is important for us to have trust, respect and love if we want others to listen to us. I think we are doing well. When I got here they pulled the Elders out of the area. A few weeks ago they instructed the Zone Leaders who are over the Single's Ward to be half over are ward as well. It is nice to have that help from them. There are people who connect better with Elders and those who connect better with Sisters. One of the sisters in our District is being transferred. Sense we are going to miss her we are going to go bowling today with her and her companion.

So y'all know, I love letters and photos in the mail and emails. I can email for 1 hour on Monday and can write letters on Monday. To save time I usually print my emails and read them latter. I can read letters every day but can only write on Mondays. So I might be a little slow writing back but I will write back and I love you. thank you for all the love and support. I do use Facebook but can not talk to people out side of my mission on it.  I love you!

Sincerely,
Sister Kimberly Galloway

Wow it's 2015!

 Dear Family and Friends,

I hope y'all had a great Christmas and New years! Wow it's 2015! My ward meets at 11 instead of 9 now. It's nice because we can get more done before church and don't have to wake up really early to get ready before ward counsel that early in the morning. we have ward counsel meeting before church so it's later now as well. I like it.

Thank you to everyone who sent me pictures. I love it! Did y'all know that North Carolina has several New Years drops? I think they are in different city's but I've herd of the giant acorn drop, the dead possum drop, (this year was road kill) and a pickle drop. We had a quiet New Years. We can only visit members who invite us on big holidays and can't really proselyte. I'm sending a picture of a sign that I found on facebook and two photos from meetings. And no we don't have everyone in them. I love it here. We are very blessed. Sorry, I'll try to write more soon.

Sincerely,
Sister Kimberly Galloway
