Temple Time

Dear Friends and Family,

In an effort to tell y'all more, I will try to answer everyone's non-personal questions in this email so everyone can read it. I am not very good at writing lots of letters. I am sorry. But hopefully this will help you get more from me individually. I love you all and wish I had more time to write each of you separately but know I still care about you and I am trying.

This has been an eventful week. We have found more investigators than usual! One of our new one's even came to Church this week! I love her she's great! I think it wont take long for her to be baptized. She has a real gift for feeling the Holy Spirit.

We had our fun Zone Conference! Which half of is like a normal one with talks and stuff. But the other half we get to play sports outside. It was really muddy so some of us thought it was a good ideal to see how far we could slide in it. We had fun! Sister Slade had someone she use to teach in a previous area request for her to go with her to the Temple as she way receiving her endowment. So we got permission to go to the Temple with her. It was amazing! I really missed the Temple! And there were Sisters from other areas who were there because it was there assigned time to go. I didn't get pictures with all of them but I did with most of the ones I know. It was nice to see so many missionaries that I love this week.

I love teaching people about the gospel. It's amazing how much the Lord has helped me. I still struggle every now and than. I've never been much of a public speaker. But the Lord is helping me.

It is really beautiful here! Everything is green and growing... everything. The pollen is really bad here but it's pretty! I love you all!

Sincerely,
Sister Kimberly Galloway

Called to Serve

 Dear Friends and Family,

My sister Melonie had her baby girl last night! Her name is Hannah! I can't wait to hold her in...15 months. I am coming home at the beginning of June 2016. She looks beautiful and I'm told she's healthy. It's hard being away from my family as they have deaths, weddings, births and other big life experiences. But I know it's only for a little while and what I am doing is important.

My week was good. It was really busy! We had a lot of lessons and little time to think. But it was great. Yesterday, a Sister we visited, commented in Relief Society, on how we had helped her and her daughters this week. The teenagers were arguing with their parents when we went over to their house. We listened and talked to them, and shared the mormon message about the other prodigal son (I might be remembering the name wrong....) and related it to their situation. I know that the stories in the scriptures can help us learn how to get along better with others and learn things we need in life. It was really nice to hear her say, that after we had left, they felt peace and had no more contention.

We are finding more people to teach. Which is great! We are starting to teach this one Sister who's mother and her daughter are already members. She's been reading the Book of Mormon with her daughter and wants to learn more. It's exciting to see people coming closer to Christ.

Sincerely,
Sister Kimberly Galloway

23rd Birthday

Dear Friends and Family,

This will probably be another short one. I'm sorry. And If I didn't respond to you this week or it was really short, I'm sorry, and I still love you. I'll try to do better next week. This has been a really long week. We had General Conference last weekend. My companion Sister Mayfield went home to Arizona. My new companion is Sister Slade. I am still in Raleigh 1 and 2.

Today is my birthday! I am now 23. I feel so old... Anyways I'll be 24 before I come home . After all I think I'll be coming home at the beginning on June of 2016. Sisters in my mission serve for 19 months. It's strange to think my family wont see me for any of the year 2015 or while I'm 23. I still have one more birthday to go out here. I love being a missionary.

This week we had an amazing experience! We were the guest speakers in 2 High School Religious History classes. I have a hard time talking in front of groups, but I did pretty good for the most part. I know the Lord was helping me. I loved hearing the students questions and answering them. We watched the "Because He Lives" video, and the message was about the Restoration, and the Plan of Salvation and after the video was finished, we continued answering questions the students had. One of the classes asked a lot more questions than the other. I think one was tired. But they were very respectful. The teacher has missionaries in his class every year but this was the first time he had Sister missionaries. He said he learned a lot. I love all y'all!

Sincerely,
Sister Kimberly Galloway
